We have compiled a list of Tybee Island and Savannah, Georgia events to assist you in planning your next vacation to our area. Our calendar is frequently updated and includes events that we feel visitors to our area will find interesting.

OCTOBER 2008:
October 3-5th - Savannah Oktoberfest, 25th Annual
October 4th - ESA Surfing Contest #8 - 7 am - 1:30 pm @16th and 17th St. on Tybee. go to http://www.esa-ga.org for more info.
October 5th - Savannah Picnic in the Park
October 10-11th - Pirate Fest - Arrgh…..the Pirates are coming to Tybee Island!! Come to witness as Tybee is overrun by pirates. Join in the revelry of this adventure filled and action packed weekend that will entertain even the smallest of swashbucklers. Hearty libations and victuals will be plentiful in our marketplace where for only a doubloon or two you can obtain treasure of all sorts. Weekend features a pirate invasion, thieves market, pirate parade, free live music, adult’s scavenger hunt, costume contest for all ages, children’s activities and more!!!! Begin with the Buccaneer’s Ball on 10/9 at the Crab Shack. Arrgh, matey!
October 10-11th - Tybee Rod Run - Do you love old and new hot cars? Then come to Tybee for the Rod Run. See an array of old and new cars, polished and rarin’ to go on the road. A delight for car lovers! Ocean Plaza Parking Lot, Tybee.
October 10-12th - Savannah Folk Music Festival
Taste of Tybee - October 16th
October 18th - 13th annual Toys for Tots Freedom Run (5K) 8:00-11 am @ YMCA and 2nd St./Butler Ave. Application and contact information can be found at: http://savystrider.com
October 18-19th - 12th Annual Tybee Festival of the Arts - This juried fine art show on the pavilion is an absolute must for art lovers. Fine arts of all kinds delight the senses.

October 25th - November 1st - Savannah Film Festival
Historic Savannah Foundation Gala at the Beacon Discount - The Gala is a formal, black-tie, sit-down dinner event which is a fundraiser for the foundation. The event will take place on the grounds of the Tybee Lightstation on Saturday, October 25th. TVR has several properties within walking distance of the event and is offering attendees a 10% discount on their stay, 2 night minimum applies. Event details: www.historicsavannahfoundation.org .
October 31st - November 2nd - Savannah Seafood Festival, 27th Annual - River Street
NOVEMBER 2008:
November 8-9th - Art in the Park - join us for our fall art show, featuring fabulous and outrageous arts and crafts. There’s something for everyone in this show by local and regional artists. If you love art, you’ll love the show. Come to Tybee and experience art!
A Family Thanksgiving on Tybee
DECEMBER 2008:
December 13th - Tybee Christmas Parade
Butler Avenue fun, family Christmas themed parade featuring Santa Claus and other unique participants. Ends at Memorial Park and immediately followed with a children’s Christmas Party. Tybrisa St. No. to Memorial Park. 3:00 pm
December 31 - New Year’s Eve Fireworks
Bring in the New Year with a bang! Enjoy the show launched from the Tybee Pier at the stroke of midnight at one of Tybee’s many restaurants and bars, or watch it from the beach. It promises to be spectacular.

January 1 - Polar Bear Plunge
