Piers on Tybee Island
There is really only one official pier on Tybee and it is at the south beach at the end of Tybrisa and the Strand. The pier is sturdy and painted on the outside with marine life and sea animals. Fishing is permitted off the end of the pier and there is a covered picnic area with tables and seats for families to enjoy. Food and drinks are available at the food stand inside the pier and there are public restrooms. Throughout the year, special events take place on the pier such as the Art Fair in the spring and fall, and the Big Band dance in late spring. Church services are also held at the Pier at certain holidays. Location: take Butler to 14th and make a left into the parking lot. Pier is in front of you. OR go down Butler to Tybrisa and park in the Strand lot. Admission: Free except for parking. Hours: 24/7. For information or permits for special events call 912.786.4573.
