Tybee Island, Ga. has begun an annual tradition for the holiday season www.tybeefortheholidays.com. Beginning with Thanksgiving weekend, Tybee will offer something every weekend. Here’s a rundown on what’s happening. Check back as we add more and more details, and more events.
Black Friday on Tybee – just like the big guys, we’re going to provide sales, bargains and deals, and our gifts will be fun, one-of-a-kind, eclectic, you name it—and when you need a break, we’ve got restaurants, snacks, ice cream and candy. Bring your relatives; let them in on our shopping secrets.
Decorating Day/Christmas Tree Procession – want a fun family event? Come and help decorate Tybee. From mid-morning ‘til afternoon, we’ll decorate up Memorial Park and the business corridor. If you own a business, turn it into a deal maker—hang an ornament and get 10% off; buy an ornament and get 10% off; buy a Christmas gift and get an ornament to hang on Tybee’s tree—use your imagination to bring people in. Join in the spirit and follow the Island’s Christmas tree from the north end of the island to its holiday home at the south end roundabout.
