Tybee Wins Again!!!!!

Published by Tybee Concierge under Attractions, Awards, Beach Blog, Destination Information, Where to Eat

Tybee Island had gained 3 new accolades, adding to the already-long list of  awards. We received the Reader’s Choice Awards from Georgia Magazine for the following:

Best Small Town to Live In
Best Seafood Restaurant – Crab Shack on Tybee Island

and our upcoming Pirate Fest weekend was mentioned too! We were also featured on the cover, and had extensive inside photos.

“I am pretty sure no other destination or biz got 3 direct mentions + a restaurant!” said one editor. “You all are really special.”

Why not come down and try us out for yourself? With our new refurbished beaches, with our award winning Lighthouse Complex, our Marine Science Center, our outstanding national monument–Ft. Pulaski, our fabulous restaurants, and beautiful Savannah (on everyone’s list of top ten cities to visit in the US) only 20 minutes away, you can’t go wrong. Want more information? Highway Safety for your Trip to Tybee

Published by Tybee Concierge under Safety Tips

Driving to Tybee and/or Savannah? If you’re driving for more than just a couple of hours you need to be aware of the safety rules.

Pack an emergency kit. Make sure you have a first-aid kit, a flashlight, work gloves, flares, duct tape, a blanket, non-perishable food and water. You never know–you may have a breakdown and be stuck until help arrives; there may be a fender bender and you’ll need first-aid; it may be dark and you’ll need a flashlight or blanket. These items often come in a kit that you can purchase; these would make a great holiday or birthday gift.

Stay focused. Just two seconds of inattention may nearly Continue Reading »
