Tybee Island Pirate Fest has been named one of Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 Events for the month of October 2009. The best events across the Southeast compete to receive the prestigious Top 20 designation. The STS covers 12 states including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina,Tennessee. Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia and Arkansas.

The Tybee Island Pirate Fest really deserved this award. Hopefully, it will let more people know about this wonderful event. I can’t wait for this years. They are going to have a huge 10,000+ sq ft ten with a clear top under which the bands will play… that was not even a sprinkle will stop the bands from playing.
