Pool Rules and safety instructions
TVR hopes you enjoy your stay at the property and your time relaxing at your pool. We have listed the following rules and instructions for your safety and enjoyment of the swimming pool located at your rental home. Please call TVR if you have any questions or need service at your pool. 786-5853.
1. CHILD SAFETY: Don’t use a pool as a babysitter. Experts say a child can drown in less than 5 minutes. Be sure all children are supervised at all times in any swimming pool no matter how shallow the water. In large groups, appoint a designated watcher to protect young children from pool accidents. Don’t depend on inflatable arm bands or rings to keep children safe in water. Small air-filled swimming aids slip off children’s arms or over their heads and are not intended to be used to prevent drowning.
2. GENERAL SAFETY: No running, rough play, or glass is allowed in the pool area. Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not to enter the pool. No unattended solo bathing. No swimming during heavy rain or when thunder or lightening can be heard. TVR recommends that guests have a First Aid Kit on hand in case of minor emergencies. Call 911 for emergency assistance.
3. CONTAMINATION: Pool chemistry can be very sensitive to changes due to rain, human waste, salt water, sand, etc. Please practice good hygiene. Shower with soap and water before swimming. When coming from the beach shower to remove sand and salt before entering the pool (rinse rafts and toys too). Wash your hands after using the bathroom or changing diapers. Take children on bathroom breaks or change diapers often. Teach children to keep pool water out of their mouths. Children not potty-trained must wear waterproof pants in the pool. Persons with skin, eye, ear or nasal infections are not to enter the pool. Persons with cuts, open blisters or communicable diseases are not to enter the pool. No eating or drinking in the pool.
4. DIVING: Never dive into above-ground pools. They are too shallow. Don’t dive from the side of an in-ground pool. Enter the water carefully feet first.
5. ATTIRE: Do not wear blue jean cut-offs or make-shift swimwear into the water. They can clog the pool drain and may cause damage.
AND MOST OF ALL… RELAX, HAVE FUN, AND ENJOY YOUR VACATION!!!
