What is a Concierge?

Published by Tybee Concierge under Travel Tips

What is a concierge? A concierge is a person who assists visiting guests with things they need such as reservations, amenities, information, transportation, maps, tours, and so forth. No job is too small or difficult. Our job is to find what you need. Tybee Vacation Rentals’ Information Center has a concierge on duty 7 days a week, and we are here to help you with anything you need. For example, do you want groceries at your rental unit when you arrive? After driving or flying so many hours, who wants to go to the grocery store right away to get needed items?

We can help!

Do you have small children and need baby equipment such as strollers, high chairs, cribs and so forth? Do you need some kind of tent or cabana to keep the children in the shade on the beach? Why cart all that stuff with you.

We can help!

You only have a limited time on Tybee, and you want to know what not to miss.

We can help!

It’s Aunt Mabel’s birthday and she’s here with you and you want to have a cake and flowers.

We can help!

Want reservations for the theatre? For a Riverboat Cruise? For a Paula Deen tour? For dinner at a nice restaurant? A golf tee time?

We can help!

Our concierges are trained, knowledgeable and have experience in the art of service. One has a Savannah touring license and has written a tour for Tybee. Let us help you with your trip. In fact, let us spoil you. Call Mary Anne, Vivian or Vicki at 912.786.5852. We’re at your service!

What you should pack when you’re coming to Tybee Island.

Published by Tybee Concierge under Travel Tips

Congratulations! You are coming to one of the world’s best places, a paradise — Tybee Island.

If you are planning to stay at one of Tybee Vacation Rentals (Which we HIGHLY recommend) over 125+ properties we’d like to let you know what they provide, and to let you know what you need to bring.

TVR provides a basic supply of bed and bath linens in each property, but they are not changed during your stay. They also provide a “start-up” set of bath soap, toilet tissue and trash bags but these are not replenished. You may want to bring more towels, soap and personal items. If you plan on visiting the beach, you need to bring your beach towel or mat. Better yet, buy one on Tybee and you’ll have a great souvenir from your trip. Continue Reading »

Enjoy your Hot Tub safely.

Published by Tybee Concierge under Safety Tips

Are you lucky! You have a hot tub! What a great way to relax and unwind. But, there are some safety issues when it comes to these restful tubs.

Please call TVR if you have any questions or need service at your pool. 786-5853.

1. CHILD SAFETY: Don’t use a hot tub as a babysitter. Experts say a child can drown in less than 5 minutes. Be sure all children are supervised at all times in any hot tub no matter how shallow the water. In large groups, appoint a designated watcher to protect young children from hot tub accidents.

2. GENERAL SAFETY TIPS: The highest temperature setting allowed for a hot tub is 104°. No running, rough-play, Continue Reading »
