We loved Fort Pulaski! It was the perfect place for a young family of five (a three-year-old and twin ten-month-olds round out the kid side of our family).Fort Pulaski was the ideal place for laid-back strolling and sight seeing. The highlights? My husband and our toddler enjoyed walking high up on the fort wall. The twins enjoyed people watching as we strolled the interior courtyard. I liked the cute shop inside the fort with the replica Civil War Era paper money and other trinkets. Tim (that’s my husband) enjoyed the period dressed soldier who gave the musket firing demonstration as well as provided knowledgeable Civil War and fort commentary. Bonus activities? We saw a small alligator in the fort’s moat and my toddler loved the cannon at the fort entrance that made a simulated “boom” when a coin was pushed through a donation slot. Did I mention that we only paid for the adult entrance fee and that the admission is good for six days? This attraction is a winner.
